Light of a New Day

The word ‘Albore’ derives from ‘alba(dawn) and we chose it because it conveys a clear and positive concept, like the first light of the sun that marks the beginning of a new day.

IN A DIFFERENT WAY

Green technology

We have identified fused filament 3D printing as our production solution because it allows us to reduce design times and costs, produce our designs on demand, and thus avoid storage and waste of resources.

Sustainable MATERIALS

PLA filament

Il PLA è il materiale più utilizzato da noi di Albore perchè è una bioplastica sostenibile molto resistente che viene ricavata da risorse naturali rinnovabili come l’amido di mais.

PRINT FINISHING

Layer Version

For this version, we use coloured filaments without adding any paint. This allows us to better highlight the texture of the print layers.

FINISH ON REQUEST

Natural version

The PLA used is composed of about 50% wood or stone dust, which is derived from waste from other processing. Because of this, the appearance of the lamps remains natural, with no added varnish.

FINISH ON REQUEST

Smooth Version

To achieve this finish, the lamps are hand-polished and painted with UV-resistant water-based colours.

ALBORE DESIGN

Be inspired

One of our greatest challenges is to give each of our creations a language of its own. Form and function intertwine in an essential design that creates a strong physical and emotional interaction with those who use it.

ALBORE DESIGN

About Us

We first encountered 3D printing about 8 years ago and were immediately fascinated by its endless formal possibilities.

Then we shifted our attention to the possibilities that 3D printing offered at the production level, and so we created our first collective: ZM Design Lab.

This first experience allowed us to launch the first product and to improve the entire production process, leading to the creation of a real sustainable design brand, through which we want to present the advantages of an alternative production method.
